Hi Sandra, Lots of information is available on the Shipley and Dawson families. I can help you with Gove County records and start you on your search for their ancestors. Warren Lincoln Dawson is the son of John George Shipley and Anna Maria Haight. Warren was born Nov. 28, 1860 in Iowa (probably Des Moines county). The John G. Shipley family is in Washington County Kansas in 1880. John G. Shipley is the son of Thomas Barton Shipley. This family is in Washington County Ohio in the 1850 census. Deffie Minerva Dawson is the daughter of George A. Dawson and Sarah A. Nichols. She and Warren were married March 25, 1883 in Washington County, Kansas.
