--Previous Message-- : Looking for any desendants of William : North and Ulrica Summers who : lived in Gove Co. in the 1890's : In the Gove Co. Birth records there are two recorded births with surname North in Gove Co during the 1890's. Parents names are not given. L. J. North, female, born 6/26/1895 and Carry M. North, female born 10/23/1897. In the 1900 Gove Co. Census there is a North Family listed as follows: Thomas W. head, born April 1865 Orilla wife, born May 1870 Lucy daughter, born June 1895 (most likely L. J. above from the birth records) Cary M. daughter, born Oct 1897 matching the birth record above. "Orilla" and "Ulrica" are sort of similar and many mistakes are made by census takers and transcribers From the birth records, there is another North child (no name given) born to William T. North and Mary North on 6/19/1911. The father's age is 46 and the mother's age is 41. The parent's ages match exactly with Thomas W. North and Orilla from the 1900 census records. My gut feel is that William T. and Thomas W. are the same person and Orilla and Ulrica are the same person but who knows? The William T North family is in the 1910 Gove County Census as follows: North, William T. Head Mary O. Wife Lucy J. daughter age 14 Carry M. daughter age 12 Lois V. daughter age 9 Ephriam B? son age 5 Charles F. son age 3 Arthur D. son age 10/12 William T born in Missouri and 44 yrs old in 1910 and Mary O. born in Indiana and 38 yrs old in 1910. They have been married 15 years in 1910 and have 6 children and 6 are living Hoping that this helps in your search for North/Summers ancestors. There is also a Summers family in Gove County about this time period. Oliver P. Summers, a civil war veteran, was born 5/27/1840 and died in Gove Co. on 5/24/1926.
