Here is what I found in my records: A William E (maybe B) Stearns is buried in Gaeland Cemetery. His birth date is given as 12/8/1863 and death date is 4/16/1928. School District #3 in both 1910 and 1911 school years lists two children: Irene Stearns (female)born 11/28/1897 and Zenas Stearns (male) born 8/27/1900 The parent is William Stearns in 1911 and W. B. Stearns in 1910. The 1900 Federal Census for Gove County has the following listing: Stearns William B. Head Dec.1864 Lucy P Wife Aug. 1872 Irrena Dau Aug. 1897 Zemas B Dau Nov. 1899 Grinnell Township page 145A family #32
