My grandparents, Johann Frederick Kayser and Caroline Knecht, emigrated from northern Germany and Alsace-Lorraine and met in Hiawatha. They later worked a farm in Gove County and had a number of children before moving the entire family to Oregon. Caroline Knecht had a female cousin (name unknown) in Hiawatha.
Has anyone any record of them in Gove County?
