My ancester John McCollister died in 1924 in Defiance County, Ohio. In his obit it states "In 1889 Mr McCollister's health failed and he went to Kansas to spend six years with a sister. He served as postmaster of Jerome for four years of his sojourn in Kansas." My research has found him living with Harrison & Jennie Daniels in 1900 in Jerome Twp. Would like to corrspond with anyone having information about the postmasters in Jerome or anyone related to this family. Jane
