--Previous Message-- You may have this information, but if not it will be useful. The Albers family had it Kansas roots in Sheridan County just north of Gove. Lena Wenke (age 16) married Bernhard Albers (age 25)on 2/2/1870 in Fort Madison, Iowa. Children were Mary Ann (born 11/1870), Theodore, Frank, Bernard, and Agnes. Frank was born in Conception, MO. In 1893 the family came to Angelus, Sheridan Co. They ran a general store and Bernard was the postmaster. Lena and Bernhard are buried in the cemetery of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Angelus, KS. The Sheridan County Historical Society has a two-volume history with numerous references to the Albers family. The Historical Society is in Hoxie, KS. The Albers family is in Sheridan Co in the 1900 Federal Census under the head name "Albers, Helen". The Frank and Teresa Albers family is found in Sheridan County in the 1910 Federal Census with kids; Martin J, Agnes H, and Catherine M. There are Albers family in Logan Trego, and Gove county also. :
