Brick wall ancestors....any info would be greatly appreciated!

Bertram Ross MONTAGUE married Anna Ross GAY 10/31/1879 in Buffalo Park, KS, with her parent's (William & Mary GAY) as witnesses.
J.Q.A. WELLER, Congregational Pastor performed the ceremony.

Bertram was a telegraph operator who said he started work on the Railroad in KS in 1875.

We have not found him on any census before 1880 in Talladega, AL.
