--Previous Message-- Here is something that may help or could just confuse things more. David Trexler father of McCellan Trexler died about 1865 in Effingham Co. Illinois leaving his wife Sarah J. Brown Trexler with at least 7 kids to care for including McCellan. In 1880 Sarah J. Brown Trexler has remarried and is now Sarah J. Clarkston wife of William R. Clarkston and living in Osborne Co. KS. Living with them are: "McClellen" age 18 Step-son "Christina" age 15 step-daughter and "Daniel M." age 1 S-Grandson There is no mention of McCellan's wife if he is married. There is really no way to know which of Sarah's kids are the father of Daniel M. but McCellan could be. The mother of Daniel M was born in PA You will find this on page 339D, Liberty Township, Osborne KS 1880 Federal Census. Other posibilities for fathers are: John Trexler born 1847 in IL George Trexler born 1849 in IL Philip Trexler born 1851 in IL and found in Osborne KS in 1880 and 1900 James Trexler born 1856 in IL This Trexler family are descendants of Emanuel Trexler : :Good Luck!
