Looking for an gun dealer from the past

I'm researching a 8ga Smith bought in Maine. I've traced it through 2 owners and now I'm to this name. Clark Cail does anyone know him or his family? Thanks in advance for any help

There is an ad by Clark Cail in "Man at Arms" magazine November/December 1985 on p. 11
Your library could likely obtain a scan of the page.

Harry "Vaughn" Cail of Palermo, Maine had two sons, Clark V. Cail and Gary T. Cail, and owned Cail and Son's Sports Center in Palermo. Harry competed in the 50m rifle event at the 1948 Summer Olympics.

Thank you, I was told he sold the 8ga Smith to a wealthy gun collector. That collector ended up selling it to The owner of the gun shop in Maine where it was last sold.

I was looking up you're find and found several links to Clark V Cail. This is bound to be him. I'm going to try to find out if he's still alive and try to contact him

Clark Cail had something to do with a spurious Parker deal.
