Hello Friends,
My father passed away not too long ago, and I inherited his firearms, including my granmother's 20 ga Hunter Arms Fulton shotgun.
I've used this gun before in the past and have fond memories of it.
However, I can NOT get the gun to open!!! Trying to press the release lever to the right, it simply does NOT move. It feels like it's completely jammed.
I found some information in the FAQs about disassembling a Fulton. In there, it says to make sure the gun is pointed down and to make sure to COCK the gun before disassembly.
Well, I think that perhaps it was taken down and then reassembled while NOT being cocked.
Since an issue with the cocking/hook/plate/catch seems to be a common problem, I would imagine that my issue is also related to it.
I really like this shotgun, it has a family history, and I'd like to use it.
Thank You Jerry Nothing is more special than a family gun. Wish I had had more. What I do have is 2 sons 2 safes and almost 2 of every gun that I own. Never too late to start.
