Just inherited a shotgun and trying to figure out exact date and appoximate value. Double barrel hammer either 12 or 16 gauge. Says "Hunter Arms Co" on the top of barrel sight line. Says " L C Smith" on the side. Serial number is 168883 with a "F" under the serial. after a little research I am guessing this gun was made about 1919 but not sure do to the design of the hammer.
Hi Cory. If it has hammers,it appears to be made in 1912. If it is a 16 gauge, it would be worth about 20% more than a 12. Can you post pics off of a site like photobucket?
