Hello all, In working on what I assumed was a problem with a HOT for a friend,(doubling) I've discovered that the problem lies partially in a broken hammer spur. The broken spur has actually caused damage to the lifter on the end of the cocking rod as well. In short I'll have to replace both the lifter and the hammer. I've always been able to get pretty much anything I need from Numrich, but they are currently out of stock for the right side lifter that I need. Who are some other NOS part suppliers that other members have used with success in the past? Thanks, John

Jimmy, thanks for the source, I'll check with him. Jent, unfortunately I'll not be able to make that event, but I appreciate your suggestion. Tom, assuming that your post in the thread below was intended for me in this thread, I really appreciate your insight. I had no idea that the hammers were configured differently between single and two trigger guns. Numrich doesn't differentiate between old or new model hammers, or between single or two trigger guns, as all left hammers have one single part # and all right hammers have a different single part #. John, I might have posted my last one in haste. Unfortunatel, I don't have one apart now, but it would be easy to check one against the other. The trigger style I know is different, because you could specify front, middle or rear position.

John, I did somehow manage to post on the wrong thread, and I don't know how to correct it. I don't know the differences between the hammers for a one trigger and standard hammers, but there is usually a reason parts don't have the same number. Standard regular hammers are 9-R, FW hammers are 9-FW but one trigger hammers are 9-O. When I have time, I will go back to the drawings and see if I can determine the differences, if any.

David, I've got two HOT guns on the bench for repairs now. An older 3E and a newer Specialty grade. I'll compare those two for hammer consistency and then pull a plate or two from a couple of DT guns. I'll comment on any obvious differences. Thanks again, John

I always check both E-Bay for parts, and also the FOR SALE section of Doublegunshop.com-- Seems like Numrich is always out of stock of the parts I need!
