what is happing to the reloading supplies. the supply for every thing seems to have dried up. iwent to a large store last night they said they could not get primers. is it this this way every where or just in my area

I went for reloading supplies two weeks ago (N.E. Ohio). I was able to get shot, wads & powder, but there were no 209 primers to be had. Manager said that they have not been able to get any quantities of primers for months.

You guys are just picking up on this? It's been going on for a year or more. Everybody is scared Obama is going to make us register our ammo or that they're going to start making primers with a shelf life or something like that. Primers of any type and any common handgun or black rifle ammo is very tough to get. Destry

Meamwhile, don't throw away your old used 209 primers. When I first started reloading shotshells, some people reloaded the primers! Might be an alternative to not reloading at all!! Jim A.
