Had the safety off and put it back together and it just freely slides back and forth now. cannot figure out whats wrong. its a 2 position safety.

Joe, Did you put the safety slide back in, the piece that fits in the grove from the top tang to the safety?

Joe, You may not have your safety link lined up with the slot in the bottom of the safety slide. If this is not lined up your safety will not work correctly. You will have to set your triggers in the forward position & place the the safety link where it will hold the triggers in alignment with the notch in the safety slide when you reassemble your gun or it will not work.
