Southern

Any ideas on lodging close to Deep River for the upcoming Southern? Due to work, I thought I was not going to be able to make it again this year, but now, it appears, I might be able to swing it.

Last minute plans so I am just trying to find out some details in case I can indeed make the trip.

The Parker guys stay at the Comfort Inn, may now be called the Quality Inn. It is probably full. For a nice place that probably won't be full, try the Hampton Inn. It may be ten bucks more but it is about thirty bucks nicer and it is an easy back road route to the Deep River facility. Also, there are more acceptable places to eat because it is in town rather than out on the interstate. I switched to the Hampton two years ago and won't go back to the other alternatives.

Jason, I went to the Southern last year for the first time and had no trouble finding a hotel. I am going this year without reservations also. I am looking foreward to meeting many of you in person. Peter

My wife and I stayed at the Day's Inn in Sanford last year, was cheapest motel in town, clean and very comfy, on US 421 north toward Siler City, but only a couple of blocks off US 501. 501N takes you north toward Deep River Sporting Clays
facility. Very convenient. However, I got late
reservation at comfort Inn, I believe special
rate of $55.00 Sanford has no traffic congestion.
