https://ibb.co/btLDEb Tom and David, Attached is a picture of my two pigeon gun forends, one finished April 30th 1901 and the other finished August 11th 1903, showing the difference in not only the widening of the iron at one end but also lengthening the iron so the screw is about 3/8" further away from the roller. If you look at one of the earlier pictures where the screw that attaches the iron to the escutcheon you can see that the screw is notched and must be indexed correctly so the roller can move far enough to release the forend from the barrels. I really appreciate all information given. Ken
