    I would bet that this is a picture of the results of shooting steel or some other very hard not lead shot through a damacus barrel.....This could even be a picture of the results of shooting copper plated lead #6 or #5 shot through a damascus barrel with tight choke......The tight choke on a good 12 gauge or 10 gauge damascus barrel can be opened up usually without any difficulty......I would not go below .022 inches barrel wall or choke wall thickness at the muzzle......On some damascus barrels that I have opened the chokes on for people we have had to stop cutting before we reached the desired openness because we reached the minimum choke wall thickness......
