At 24 hrs I removed the barrels from the tank. The anodes were slightly pitted and covered with a thick layer of rust; about 3/16ths of an inch. I wish I had weighed the tubes before I started, it would be nice to know how much weight they have lost. Inside the tubes were piles of loose rust, at least a quarter inch, which I washed out with a pressure washer.
With everything cleaned up, I wired it all up again and and commenced cooking them. They're far cleaner than when I started but from my experience, the electrolysis process really requires multiple soakings to get to the bottom of the really deep pits.
