For whatever my opinion is worth, I suggest you double check gun gauge because the 16-bore was not introduced until 1895; and when it was a few examples were made with 5-digit serial number beginning in 5X,XXX range, but the vast majority of early 16 gauge gun production will begin at serial number 60,XXX. Based on the features pictured, your gun is certainly pre-1913 production (most likely pre-1900 production); and the serial number block coinciding with the serial number on your gun was reserved for 10 and 12-bore hammerless guns.
