Is there a difference e between the forend latch on a beavertail ejector and a splinter ejector forend? The latch on the SBT does not protrude above the escutcheon as do those on splinter forends. I'm thinking it may have been changed for whatever reason some time in the past. There are some differences in schematics/drawings in the Brophy book.
