I received my first research letter in the mail today. Thank you Mr. Stubbendieck for a really well done piece of work. While I was hoping it would tell me something like "it was ordered with upgraded wood" or "it was fitted with barrels ordered to choke X and Y" I am really pleased with just knowing the date it was finished and that all the parts seem to be original. My barrels are stamped with the correct spelling of "ARMOR" as well.  Speaking of barrels, the bottom of the words on the right barrel are not stamped fully as is the case with the tops of the words on the left barrel. It's like the roll was not perfectly top-dead-center when done. Just adds character to me. At least "LC Smith" is stamped on each side plate as is not the case on my Field 16ga. |
