    Hey there Squirrel,
I've not personally seen a factory gun that measured that much off the mark. Do the barrel tubes actually touch at the muzzle end, or is there any solder visible between the actual tubes? If there's any gap what-so-ever they've likely been trimmed down from 32's which was the longest length of double barrels ever produced by LC Smith.
Are you a member of the LCSCA? If so, and the records for your gun exist, then you could inquire of our Research Chairman and he'll tell you how your gun left the factory. Other than that, you could request and pay for a research letter. The most recent Blue Book of Gun Values indicates that all things being equal, a Research Letter increases the value of an LC Smith gun by 100 bucks, which is considerably more than the cost of a letter. Food for thought,
    John
