I have a circa 1900 Hollenbeck from Syracuse Arms that I just picked up an antique gun shop for about $600 and spent another $500 to have it 're-blued' and added a spacer for additional pull length. I have no idea if I now have too much $ into this firearm... wouldn't be the first time
It is Grade O, so doesn't have any etching or other distinguishable characteristics. However, it did come with an additional barrel with matching serial number. I thought this was pretty cool as I know have 4 barrels with differing fixed choke diameters.
I am looking to date this firearm. The serial number is 2333.
