I once owned a 1923 12 ga. ejector field with a factory straight stock and a short tang that I'm sure was factory. It was a long range in every thing but the designation. Also have seen a couple others with short tangs that sure looked like factory originals. Julias had a 20 ga. field in the same configuration a few years ago.
