While the L.C. Smith Field Grade .410-bore is arguably the much better gun, it was made from the mid-1920s to the end in 1950, and there were well over 2000 of them. The Fulton and the Hunter Special were only offered very briefly in .410-bore circa 1940-41 and Houchins doesn't even give a count of them in his book.
