I am working on my one and only LCS hammer gun (1885, Syracuse 12 GA, E grade, 30 inch Damascus pattern barrels), one piece at a time, as I am sure that many others are as well. After all your help guiding me at the Southern Side X Side, I have been able to do the following: - replaced the broken firing pin with your help by making a replacement. - removing barrel dents with the help of Jent Mitchell - added checkering to replacement stock/forend with the help of Brian Dudley, who also added an ebony insert in the forend. - sending out this week the damascus barrels to be blued in a black and white pattern and checked for barrel wall thickness. After this, just a few little things to do do for it to be back to normal. with some pictures it could be an article for you to use - Doug
