I have a 3E with damascus barrels and I want to refinish the barrels to bring out the pattern. The barrels have a mid and muzzle ivory bead and I was wondering if they should be removed and if so what is the best way. I am concerned as to whether or not the etching solution would harm them and also breaking them in the process. Thanks for any advice.
