Thanks Drew, It may be HHR or HMR but they are uniform and appear to be a single stamp of the three letters. I have done a little more investigation of the gun.Under the trigger guard is a stamp of the serial #. The gun appears mainly unmolested but the stock has a slightly different finish than the forearm,it also is not checkered.The fit and shape/line of the stock look as good as original if it is not. Did they ever do stocks with out checkering? Would a replaced stock have been stamped with the serial if it was factory work? The gun also has a gold/yellow hue like a linseed oil or shellac coat as I have read about. I will try to post a picture.Thanks MY
