    1894 A1 Archived Message

I have an A1 that shipped from the factory on May 10, 1894. The gun has a couple of uncommon features, 1 is a skeleton butt plate and the "S" shaped grip cap. It also has the type 2 ejectors. All the numbers match including the banjo escutcheon. The forearm iron does not have a patent date. I always thought the gun went back to the factory for ejector repair, but since there is no patent date on the iron could this be a prototype or an experiment? I have a letter from Cody (Purchased before the Assoc got the records). I am a totally inept photographer.
