.410 vs 20 ga. frame Archived Message

William, from what I see in Brophy's "Plans and Specifications", the .410 frame is slightly smaller than the 20 gauge. The .410 measurement over the breech balls is 2.140 and the 20 ga. is 2.1875. The centerline distance for the firing pins on the .410 is .906 and the 20 is 1.016. These dimensions are what I believe the workers were to follow. Usually a figure three places to the right of the decimal is +/- .005
