Although not an L.C. Smith but a Hunter Arms Co. box lock. These were well made guns that fit into the price range that most could afford.
From your partial serial number, I believe it was made in 1936. You didn't specify what gauge, if a 12 ga. the chambers would be 2 3/4", 16 ga. 2 9/16" and 20 ga. could be 2 3/4" and might have a stamp stating such, if not they would be 2 1/2".
