    Dodge Brothers Deluxes Archived Message

I thought I would break the string of 'help me' posts with this tidbit:

In Houchin's book on page 331 dealing with the De Luxes puchased by Horace Dodge and referring to the Dodge automobile that was going to debut in 1914, he states, "The vehicle price was $785, a little less than the estimated $1000 Horace paid for each of the L. C. Smith De luxes."

While researching a vintage trapshooter I stumbled across this item in September 26, 1914 edition of Sporting Life, "The two Dodge brothers of Detroit, who are planning to put an auto bearing their name on the market, are noted as keen shooting men. Recently they each bought a $1000 grade L. C. Smith gun, weapons which are considered the finest ever produced."
