I finally got to shoot my 1901 Hammer Gun at the L.C.S.C.A. Turkey Shoot at M&M. With Pastor Charlie's help, I resolved problem I had with loose hammers, and the gun functioned flawlessly. Flawlessly, except that the trigger pull on the right barrel is exceptionally heavy. Like 3 times heavier than the left barrel.
While working on the locks, I carefully cleaned all the parts, including pin and threaded holes, etc. I lubed the sear pivot and tumbler with Shooters Choice red grease. I also tweaked the bridles to make sure that there was clearance between the tumbler, spring, and sear when the lock was assembled. I couldn't feel any difference in the strength of the mainsprings. However, the trigger pull on the right barrel is heavy enough to be a real distraction. Any ideas?
