    Saving the original is usually the most economical option and will also keep the gun original.
    Most stocks can be fixed. However, if the integrity of the wood has been severely compromised due to oil saturation repair may not be possible. If Bubba has fixed it so no one else can, repair may not be possible.
    Protect the edges of the break with bubble wrap to preserve and protect the damaged area during shipping and handling. Have the stock glass bedded at the same time.

    I have fixed stocks which bore more resemblance to a clatter stick than a gunstock; when completed they are equal or superior to the original.
