    Drew,

I am looking at a non-LC gun but knew this would be "the place" to go for solid information. The tube wall thickness has been measured at .033 and .032 so I feel good about the barrels and them handling a 1oz. 2 1/2" load. It is a British gun chambered for 2 1/2".

As far as "wild" birds I am indeed talking about NW Kansas birds. I've been going to the same place for the last eight years and have had great success with pheasants and quail.

My 16ga Field has made the trip a number of times and done an outstanding job loaded with some 5's and 6's. It patterns better with 6's so that's what I am normally shooting. I even killed a coyote with it last season at about 25yds. Full barrel to the body and MOD to the head!
