    Hi Dale, I know exactly what you're taliking about. It's a tension spring for the forend's latch spring. It also puts tension on the extractor sear at the same time, serves a dual purpose. It's a flat spring about 2" in length, and a 1/4" wide. There is a hole in it where a 1/8" wood screw goes, which secures it deep in the forend's well. They are made of a thin spring like steel, I've made many myself when I can't find one. Keep searching. I'm suprised nobody knows what you're talking about. The other tension spring used on the forend catch is a tiny coil like/clothespin spring, but you need the flat type. I'll keep my eyes open. If no luck,then I'll make and send you one at no charge.
