The current thread about Jacob Glahn prompted me to look back over a few notes I made about a 16 Ga Crown Grade S/N 122155 that I tearfully recorded several years ago. Belated tears because I had a chance to buy the gun during one of the Vintager's gatherings at Pintail Point 7 or 8 years ago. The gun is signed by both Kraus and Jarred on the left side of the top tang near the rear of the fence. The gun also has the name CRUTCHFIELD engraved on the trigger bow. When I picked it up in an Easton Gunshop I was astonished to see both engraver's names and was also set back by the $11,500 price tag. At the time I passed on the gun but went back the next day to make an offer but, of course, it was gone. Too many double gun people in town! At the time I didn't realize how rare the gun is with two engraver's names. If the buyer of the gun happens to read this I hope he posts a picture or I'll be happy to photograph it and post it.
