I believe the hammer gun barrels that Tom was talking about are 16999 converted to Quality/Grade 2. There are others that I have in my Syracuse Records. All hammerless guns from Syracuse had Damascus barrels, some of the Quality F's had Best English Stub Twist. Remember that gun manufactures and ammunition companies in the 1950-60's toted on not shooting guns with Damascus barrels, so some took this heart and pocket book and sent their Syracuse guns to Hunter Arms or as Tom stated to Italy. Serial number 19498 a Quality 2 10 gauge Syracuse gun sent to Italy for re-barrel and proofed there in the 1960's. Serial number 19491 Quality 2 10 gauge re-barreled to steel. 19932 Quality 4 10 gauge, barrels have Fulton address. 20379 Quality 2 10 gauge, barrels have Birmingham proof. 18255 Quality 4 re-barreled in Fulton to 16 gauge. There are others but by now you should get the gist of it, they would do anything within reason.
