    Charles, this gun is from 1890. It should have the rounded corner barrel lug, a vase shaped ebony tipped for-end. It would be a 5 pin 2 screw bar action lock. Some by this time still had fine checkering, and most did not have a makers name on the barrels.

    Myself and other members still shoot these old hammer guns once they are determined to be safe. Most all have pitting inside the barrels and unless someone removed a lot of metal these barrels are fairly stout in the critical area from the breech to 15".
