Good morning Nikos, Good to hear from you again! If your gunsmith indicated that the barrel wall thickness is 22 thousandths at the location of the pits,and there are not many, I would just clean the barrels regularly. The pits will not affect the way the gun shoots. If I understand correctly, your gunsmith was able to measure the remaining wall thickness in the pitting location. If so, then spend your honing money on shotgun shells! Have a great day. John
