    age of my L C Smith Archived Message

    I have had a L C passed down to me from a family member, it is in poor shape haveing been left in the garage for many years. My question is how old is it? It has patent dates of June 1, 80 march 29, 83 july 13, 86 & oct 5, 86. Damascus barrels & L.C. Smith Maker Syracuse N Y stamped on barrels. Thanks for any help you may provide.Jim
