Another interesting drawing for the file. At one time Gun Parts Corp had a stockpile of "old style" LC Smith firing pins. I bought a pair in the late 80s and they were too big in diameter for the bushings on the O grade I owned at that time. I no longer have record of the serial number or date of that gun but it had the old style rotary joint check and must've been an 1890s gun. The pins GPC sold probably came from Marlin and likely were one of the three sizes referenced in this shop drawing. FW pins are entirely different as most everyone knows so were these R-frame pin sizes for 10 ga., 12 ga. and 16/20? Anybody know?
