Hard to find a SXS Smith around here. I am in Mesa. Are they pitted? You wanting to have the wall thickness measured? Are they on face? I refinish gunstocks and shoot nothing but old SXS"s We disassemble/reassemble a lot of Elsies for refinishing and end up giving them a good clean and lube in my shop. I am considering buying the wall thickness gauges bore mic's as I know of only one person in the valley that measures barrels and he only does it if he volunteers an offer to do so.
