Thank you for the reply. They do not call them "field " guns for nothing. I have way too many shotguns but a field FW with 26 inch barrels is about my favorite for upland game. I also have a Braque du Bourbonnais. Female about 38 pounds. She is very fast but does not range out too far. Wish I could take credit but most of what she does is naturally her. The high grade guns are beautiful and rare, but I sometimes think not enough attention is focused on the field grade guns. They are so rich in the history of LC Smith....made to hunt and made to shoot.
