Terry, you are not trying to bring this bit of confusion up? The pointer guys are real sensitive about the quality of their dogs. Sometimes they are not very kind to other types of gun dogs. I on the other hand would be happy for a change of pace and be glad to hunt behind your Cockers. I will even take some shooting lessons before we go. Just let me know where and when. Seriously ,and I can tell from you post, you know that a good dog is good dog. I am blessed to have "Lucy" to follow behind. She does the hunting I just follow and shoot.
We have all probably had the experience of taking someone hunting that has never been hunting with a dog. Then hearing, "Man I never knew hunting could be this great. Your dog is amazing! Feels good.
