I have loaded BP shot shells off and on for years. I tried brass shells with traditional wads and had large holes in the pattern. I had best results cutting down a AA hull, about 50 gr of 2F and a red wad. I used an old time roll crimping tool to crimp the load. The BP/plastic wad leaves a "snake skin" residue in the bore but comes out clean using Windex with vinegar as a cleaning agent.
