Maybe 20-25 years ago I bought a pair of Pre War French "Darne" shotguns from a fellow . Both were semi pistol grip with the sunk rib etc etc . One was a 12 and the other a 20 . If my memory serves the 12 was about 6 1/2 pounds and the 20 was in the 5 1/4 range . With normal light skeet loads on the skeet field a round with the 12 gauge wasn't to terrible although you knew you shot it . The 20 on the other hand would pound the ever living crap out of you . For quail or grouse the 20 made an excellent little carry gun but it was by no means one for the shotgun games !
