    The 101,000 psi is pretty impressive for budget gun made for common folks in 1898.

    I was reading Mr. Schwing's book on Model 21 Winchesters recently. They were designed for 115,000-120,000 psi. Not that much more than an LC Smith w/30+ year old technology at the time.

    Something else was interesting to me in Schwing's book. The famous destruction test included a Model 21 that didn’t die after 2000 proof loads, a Fox that died w/80 proof loads, an Ithaca that died w/56 proof loads, a Parker that died in 305 proof loads, and an LC that allegedly died too....but the documentation mysteriously could not be located? Smells fishy to me.
