Holding this auction in Maine in the Winter in deep snow contributed to some of the low low low prices realized in this gun auction.
Most antique shotgunners will not travel to Maine in the Winter in the snow. I will not even go up to Maine in the summer time ! I will speculate that many of these antique shotguns were purchased by dealers and that we will see them for sale on line and at gun shows soon. A professional gun dealer is probably willing to go to Maine in the Winter to get a few bargains. That is a professional gun dealers job. This is just my hobby ! I am here for the fun, food and fellowship of shooting antique shotguns. I do not want to sit around and just look at these guns I want to shoot them.
Good Shooting To You All, Jent
