The choke constriction runs all the way out to the muzzle. I saw the same advertisement stating 12 ga only, made me wonder how many 16ga were sent to S,D,&G. I use an internal diameter caliper to measure bore size. I was unhappy with my measurements. I measured .651, and a shop measured the same. Isn't that a tight 16ga bore. I think they've been cut, which means I overpaid - a mental stumbling block for me. On the other hand, ..012/.005...that's a good early grouse gun, but I hate to think I've paid more than the gun will ever be worth.
